Treatment and Day Spa information - 'How to Spa' for the Spa Perfect Experience

We want your visit to The Spa to be truly wonderful, so we’ve taken the step to offer flexibility with your treatments and our expert therapists will take a ‘prescriptive’ approach to ensure that treatments selected will suit your needs and mood on the day of your visit. Of course if you know which treatment you want from our extensive Treatment Menu at the time of making your reservation we are more than happy to accommodate you.

From the moment that you enter our beautiful Spa our approachable, attentive and dedicated team will take care of you. They are always on hand to guide you with expert advice on how to make the most of our many facilities or help you choose any last minute treatments available. You can enjoy wonderful relaxing or invigorating treatments – they can be both – awaken your senses in the thermal suite, take the time to read a magazine from cover to cover, eat tasty fresh cuisine in The Spa dining area at lunch time, or even enjoy a glass of champagne. You may feel energetic enough to walk down to the lake on the woodland trail, or workout in the gym. But, you simply must experience the garden views from the outdoor hot tub, bathing outside exhilarated by fresh air simultaneously being relaxed by warm water and massage jets... pure heaven.

Our treatments offer a Western and European approach to traditional rituals and holistic therapies. The ingredients in the wonderful products from [comfort zone] and Terraké are both pure and natural with blends of soothing and therapeutic plants, herbs and marine extracts. We will help you choose individual treatments to suit your physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Spend time sampling products and get expert advice in a friendly, helpful way to discover which products suit you best and will help you to continue to ‘Spa’ at home.

Indulge and pamper yourself at The Spa and experience the delights of time spent away from the everyday stresses of life, time to slow down, time for you because you deserve it. A Gift Card for a special friend is a truly thoughtful and long remembered gift, also drop hints to your loved ones with the ‘remember me’ cards we have put inside your locker for you to take home.

How do I plan my visit?
To avoid disappointment we advise that you have a couple of dates in mind in case your first choice is unavailable, and if you wish to visit on a Friday or Saturday we recommend that you book at least 2 months in advance. Don’t forget to check the webpage regularly to keep up to date with special offers, there are ‘last minute deals’ available from time to time and news of up coming events.

What should I wear? What should I bring?
The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and most guests choose to wear tracksuits or robes and slippers at all times. Suitable trainers must be worn for gym and all classes, and swimsuits must be worn in the swimming pool, thermal suite and outdoor hot tub (you may wish to bring 2 swimsuits if you are visiting for the day). You may wish to wear your swimsuit for some treatments, however if appropriate to your treatment we will provide you with disposable underwear. Please remember to turn up for your treatment 15 minutes before the allotted time.

It is inappropriate to wear jewellery during treatments so we recommend that you do not bring valuables with you. We are unable to accept responsibility for loss or damage incurred to your personal belongings.

The use of mobile phones, personal music systems or lap tops is not permitted in The Spa as their use may be disturbing to some guests.

If you have a Gift Card please bring that with you and hand it to The Spa Reception on arrival, if you forget to bring it don’t worry we will charge you as normal on the day and refund you as soon as the gift card is forwarded to us. All Day Spa Experiences and treatments booked must be supported with credit card details.

You may wish to bring your favourite book and catch up with your reading, if you don’t want to carry a book around we will have the latest magazines readily available.

Photography of spa facilities is not permitted without permission from the Duty Manager.

We will provide...
Inside your locker will be a freshly laundered luxurious robe, towels and slippers. If you are a hotel resident you will be provided with robe and slippers in your bedroom. Towels will be available from Reception and ‘sweat’ towels provided in the gym. Also available in the changing rooms we will provide hair and body shampoo, body lotion, cleansers and toners, cotton pads and tissues. We provide hairdryers but there are no electric sockets for other hair appliances. Herbal teas, water, fresh fruit and magazines are available throughout The Spa treatment area at all times.
Guests have unlimited access to all facilities within The Spa and can join in any of the indoor or outdoor fitness activities throughout the day.

Please remember...

  • To be respectful of people who wish quiet during their treatment or peace to sleep in the Hush tranquility room or to be undisturbed whilst reading.
